CELEBRATION OF ORDINARY LIFE

kasija once said that VERLIEBTE TIERE is the piece where ordinary life is celebrated >>> private dramas and intimate tragedies are brought to the fore >>> corona quarantine appears to be a metaphor of ultimate intimacy, coronavirus itself – the ambiguous spirit of nostalgia for past times >>> in the center of the story, there are people with their personal issues, and the spirit of the time is graspable through the details of their daily life >>>

today, nine days after the premiere, we are happy to announce that soon VERLIEBTE TIERE will be on stage again >>> a performance in july is planned (date and place will be announced soon), and also, on the 14th of august we’ll present this work in the frame of KULTURSOMMER WIEN >>> we’ll be happy to see you at our events! >>>

besides, the piece PERFECT SENSE experienced an exciting revival at the MANDALA FESTIVAL in wroclaw (poland) >>> augmented with the text projection, it conveys now a pacifistic message >>> the poem by sara teasdale was accompanying our performance >>>

there will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
and swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
and frogs in the pools singing at night,
and wild plum trees in tremulous white,
robins will wear their feathery fire
whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
and not one will know of the war, not one
will care at last when it is done
not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
if mankind perished utterly;
and spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
would scarcely know that we were gone >>>

have a sip of the polish evening we had through the beautiful photographs by kazimierz ździebło

we are looking forward to seeing you soon! >>>

best, kasija and ivan
