We are happy to announce that our project was selected for participation in the competition at the theater Drachengasse: Finale Nachwuchswettbewerb 2024 will take place on the 13th of May 2024 at Drachengasse 2, 1010 Wien.
“Die Düntzer Rhapsodie” is an interdisciplinary theater performance. Its idea came about as part of the application for the competition at Theater Drachengasse and as a reaction to the advertised theme “Stadtplan oder Wanderkarte”.
The story focuses on the fictional town of Düntz (732 inhabitants) and the sisters Claudia and Daniela who live there. The year is 1995 and big news has recently shaken the city of Düntz: Martha Rehberger, the daughter of the local mortician, is moving to Vienna to study at university. All 732 Düntz residents come to the bus stop in the morning to say goodbye to her. But one of them, sixteen-year-old Claudia, is in love with Martha and has never had the chance to confess her feelings.
