Meditation in Motion is a practice of engaging in a mindful (contemplative and meditative) state by means of own moving body. It is an embodied practice that combines the principles of meditation, which involve focused attention and awareness, with the rhythmic and intentional movements of the body. The attention is guided to every part of the body by performing different qualities and patterns of movements and motion, thus focusing the mind on the present moment and the sensations within the body.

The class of meditation in motion is a guided improvisation. Participants are gently guided through the tasks, exercises, and stages of the class but they are nevertheless completely free and encouraged to find own individual and unique body expressions. In other words, there is no outside form that needs to be reached or accomplished but it is rather about a shared exploration process of self and others through the joy of breathing, moving, dancing, and being.

Meditation in motion offers numerous benefits, similar to traditional meditation practices, such as reducing stress, improving mental clarity, enhancing emotional well-being, and fostering a deeper connection between mind and body. Additionally, it can cultivate a sense of inner peace and harmony, as well as improve physical health through increased flexibility, balance, and coordination. Overall, meditation in motion is a holistic approach to well-being allowing individuals to experience a sense of calm and centeredness within the busyness of life.
